Veterinarian
Dr. Lane joined Ridgewood in 2011 and later became owner in 2012. He was born and raised in southern Maine and followed his dream of becoming a Vet by moving to Virginia in 1998. He worked for 14 years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in various hospitals from Maine to Virginia before attending veterinary school. Dr. Lane completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Maine and later graduated from the Virginia Tech College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. He and his wife, Gina, share their home with three young human children, three cats (Lily and Monty and Velcro), 2 dogs named Moxie and Liberty, and two guinea pigs ( Ethel and Lucy). Dr. Lane’s interests are soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, sports, and spending time with his family and friends. His passion and motivation are to provide the best medicine available while developing long-standing relationships with our pet parents and patients.
Veterinarian
Dr. Rossner joined the Ridgewood team in July of 2018. She was born in Canada, but grew up in Alabama and North Carolina. After 4 years of undergraduate studies, she completed her 4 year veterinary degree at North Carolina State University Veterinary School, graduating in 2015. She spent her first 3 years as an equine veterinarian, later deciding to join us at RIdgewood, but tries keep her hands in the equine world. She is a tremendous asset to our practice and truely enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery. Like most of our staff, she has numerous dogs, cats horses and chickens in what she considers her growing farm. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding and competing equine mounted games, as well as kayacking and enjoying nature.
Veterinarian
Dr. Ross acquired her 4 year undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, and later went on to graduate from Virginia Maryland College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She is a great addition to our team, she is very passionate about providing the best medicine as well as helping decide what is in the best interest for each patient. While getting her DVM degree she was worked as a lab technician for the clinical pathology lab at the vet school, so she really enjoys helping examine and identify cytology and tissue samples. She had the tremendous opportunity to participate in an exchange program to India where she received first hand experience with foreign diseases. Dr. Ross has a very strong passion for quality medicine and really enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She aspires to build strong client relationships and to always continue to develop her skills.
Licensed Veterinary Technician -
Practice Manager
Terri joined our family in June 2014 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and has since become our Practice Manager. She graduated with her degree in Veterinary Technology and has been rocking the veterinary profession since 1993! She has extensive experience in veterinary anesthesia and helped train the senior veterinary students at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine for 10 years. In addition to her interest in anesthesia, she also enjoys the area of animal behavior. Terri loves spending time with her husband, Michael, and their children. Together, they like to go hiking and canoeing; and she is currently learning to knit. At home she shares her cuddles with her black lab, Jordan, and her kitties, Muggins and Lilo. She also spreads love to her bearded dragon, Lizzie.

Practice Manager
Gina has been part of the Ridgewood team since 2011. She grew up in Bedford County and is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences, and later received her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2003. She began her career in veterinary as a kennel attendant in 1997 at a small animal hospital, where she later met her husband. She has enjoyed opportunities working at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine as well as other small animal facilities in Virginia. Gina enjoys all aspects of the veterinary hospital, but has strong interests in client education, animal behavior, and critter cuddling. She and Dr. Lane enjoy spending time with their three human children, and countless fur-babies.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Ryan began at Ridgewood in June 2011, and worked along side our licensed technicians and veterinarians as she completed her degree in Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College. She has a strong compassion for patient care and a love of learning which allows her to offer the best possible care for our patients. She is a member of the Piedmont Veterinary Medical Association and North American Veterinary Technician Association. Ryan loves all areas of veterinary medicine, but has special interests in dentistry, ultrasound, and anesthesia/surgery.
At home, Ryan has 4 dogs, 3 cats, and multiple chickens. She loves spending time exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding horses.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jessica joined the Ridgewood Team mid 2019 after having worked for many years at Animal Emergency and Critial Care of Lynchburg. She grew up in Appomattox, living there for 24 years before moving to Lynchburg. She has always loved working with animals and takes pride in helping them live long, healthy and happy lives. She is especially proud to advocate and care for those who don't have a voice. Jessica has 2 Pitbulls - Rocks and Pete, both big babies. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys things outdoors such as hiking, camping, biking and floating on the river with her husband and daughter.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kate joined the Ridgewood family in the Spring of 2021. She describes herself as an army brat, having moved here when her father retired from the army. She always remembers that she has loved animals and cant imagine herself doing anything other than working with and helping animals.
Kate entered the veterinary field as a kennel worker when she was sixteen and got accepted into Veterinary Technician school straight out of high school. She graduated Vet Tech school with an Associate's degree and passed her national veterinary board exam in 2000. She began working in private practice for a few years, then the last 18 years in emergency medicine.
Kate and her family care for 2 Wheaten Terriers (Macy and Keva) and a Giant Schnauzer (Gabriel). She enjoys relaxing with a good book, hiking, horseback riding and spending time with her family.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Sarah joined the Ridgewood team as a kennel attendant as a prerequisite to apply to the Licensed Veterinary Technician program. Since she was very young she always remembers her mother helping and rescuing animals as well as grooming pets. It is because of these early memories that she always knew she wanted to work with animals. She is originally from the Vinton area, moving to Lynchburg/Forest in 2010. In her free time she enjoys hiking with Roxie (her Pitbull mix) and crafting. She has an Associates Degree from CVCC and completed the Veterinary Technology program at Blue RIdge Community College to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Kayleigh is one of our senior employees. She began as a Kennel Attendant, eventually helping out as a Client Service Representative, and is currently working as a Veterinary Technician student.
Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Vermont, Colleen moved to Virginia to escape the cold, dark winters. She spent many years working desk jobs, then decided to trade her BBA for a Veterinary Assistant Certificate in 2016.
Patient Care Attendant
Michael joined the Ridgewood team in 2017, and looks at every day as an opportunity to meet new animals and learn something new about his job.
