The care team at Ridgewood Animal Hospital always offers compassionate customer service while providing an excellent standard of care for our furry friends. At our last visit, they went above and beyond to ensure that my service dog was ready for her first visit out of the country. Thanks to their due diligence, everything was smooth sailing!

When my little dog was having issues (sitting up against my feet, coughing, trembling and just not acting right), my original vet practice would not see her. I had called my vet on Friday morning explaining what was wrong. I was told they were booked up all day Friday and Saturday, and to just wait until Monday and call back if there was no improvement. I then contacted Ridgewood Animal Hospital, explained what was wrong, they gave us an appointment and saw her early that afternoon. Discovered she was running a fever, put her on antibiotics, and she was showing great improvement by Sunday afternoon. The fact that I had been going to my original vet practice for decades meant nothing! They were going to let my little nine pound dog suffer all weekend! And who knows if they would have even seen her on Monday! Dr. Lane and his staff at Ridgewood Animal Hospital came to the rescue! They are super nice and caring! I have transferred all of my animals to their care and we are all much happier!

The absolute best veterinary office I have ever been too. I have three very needy animals and they ALWAYS fit me in for emergency visits when needed. Very friendly staff who goes above and beyond to make sure your babies are cared for appropriately and promptly. They are competitive with pricing compared to other offices in the area and I've actually found their pharmacy to be significantly cheaper than Chewy.

I spent from 2015 to November 25, 2022 attending Ridgewood for my Annabelle’s routine visits and her chronic ear infections. While my last visit will be my most memorable it is not to be overshadowed by the first visit. We saw Dr. Lane and Annabelle has always been very shy around strangers and men. He and his vet tech at the time managed to get a kiss or two out of her with their patience and kindness. Fast forward to our last visit where I had to make the difficult decision to put Annabelle down he and his teams compassion will forever be remembered. I know I’m not special this is how they treat everyone during this type of visit. They took us right to the room, walked me through everything, and when it was time Dr. Lane and the female assistant with him sat with me and most importantly loved on Annabelle with me. When I came in to pickup her she’s and paw print yesterday it was packaged in a beautiful bag and as the front desk agent handed the bag over she said, “Here’s your sweet girl back” I think I made it to the door before breaking down. It’s not just how they are wonderful with our furry loved ones. It’s how they are throughout the entire process. I recommend them to everyone I know and if I ever get another fur baby I will be back. Thank you Ridgewood for your compassion and empathy through the last seven years. From day 1 until the last ride.

So much to say in so little space. Dr Lane saw our 8 year old German Shepherd, Abbe, thru Chemo and gave her 5 more years of quality life. This past week he operated on our 10 year old Golden Retriever for internal bleeding and she has made a remarkable recovery. There have been many cats & dogs in between and they have all received exceptional care from Dr. Lane, Dr. Rossner, Dr. Ross and a fabulous/caring staff. The Ridgewood family has always been there for us. We can’t thank them enough!

We normally see Dr. Lane (who we LOVE) but have had the pleasure of seeing all three doctors over the past 4 years and they are all WONDERFUL. The entire team is great, they treat my pups as if they are their own. They take time to explain everything and answer all my questions. The front desk is very organized, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt with returning calls. We are thankful to have such wonderful people caring for our babies.

Can’t say enough about this office. After calling our vet and five other offices, Ridgewood is the only office who would see us. They were prompt, kind and very understanding of us and our 15.5 year old baby. We have since moved to this practice. The doctor has even called us after hours with lab results. We are so glad we made this move.

Ridgewood Animal Hospital has been absolutely the best veterinary choice in caring for all of our dogs. Appointment availability, understanding of individual needs, communication, kindness and professionalism have all been excellent. Thank you for taking care of us!
